EMILY SISSON: AMERICAN MARATHON RECORD HOLDER
Emily Sisson is one of the most accomplished distance runners in American history and one of the world's premier marathon athletes. A two-time Olympian, Emily has represented the United States across the track and roads, competing in the 10,000m at the Tokyo Olympic Games before qualifying for the marathon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with a runner-up finish at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. In 2022, Emily made history by setting the North American marathon record of 2:18:29 at the Chicago Marathon, becoming the fastest North American woman ever over the distance at the time. She also previously held the American record in the half marathon and has represented Team USA at multiple World Athletics Championships in the 10,000m.
