Racing for More

From Rapid City, South Dakota, to the legendary track at Hayward Field, Simeon Birnbaum has established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in American distance running. Competing for the University of Oregon, Simeon made history in 2026 by shattering the NCAA collegiate record in the 1,500 meters with a remarkable time of 3:31.69, before capturing the NCAA national championship in the same event. A multiple-time Big Ten champion and Bowerman Award semifinalist, his rise to the top follows an extraordinary high school career that included 13 South Dakota state titles and some of the fastest prep distance performances in American history. After overcoming injuries early in his collegiate career, Simeon's determination, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence have established him among the brightest emerging stars in the sport.

Races are short. Preparation Isn't.

The Day Before

Preparation starts the day before. Simeon typically drinks one to two bottles of Neversecond C90 to support hydration, replenish sodium, and help maximize carbohydrate availability heading into race day.

15 Minutes Before Start

About 15 minutes before racing, Simeon takes a C30 Energy Gel to deliver 30g of fast-absorbing carbohydrates. This provides a convenient source of readily available energy as he approaches the start, helping support carbohydrate availability.

30 Minutes Post-Race

Within 30 minutes of finishing, Simeon aims to consume 30 grams of carbohydrates alongside 30 grams of protein from Neversecond P30 Recovery Mix. Combined with an easy shakeout jog, this routine helps replenish glycogen stores, support muscle repair, and kickstart recovery in preparation for his next training session or race.
